My Complaint About K-Dans Internet Song
I just heard K-Dans song "Internet" and there's only one thing I have to say about it.
Here we are big idiot webmasters telling you about the singers and their bands, and where they are playing, some of us sell their products, and guess what.
Instead of Mentioning web sites like fouye.com, Sakapfet.com, EverythingHaitian.com , or any other haitian sites on their music, they are freakin' promoting AOL and MSN who could care less who there are!
Very nice K-Dans! I feel like an idiot!

Just saw T-Vice's New Video 4 Las, Nice!
I just discovered that T-Vice has a new Video out called 4 Las. it's very nice. it starts with a nice calipso beat and then jumps to konpa.
They call the song 4 las (4 Aces)... The 4 aces that make up TVice. Most of the video was shot on a hacht. very nice, I was getting tired of seing disconnected guitars and keyboards on the screen. Nice!
Video is available on Kompabagazine and on Sakapfet.com

Fanatik System Band yo, Now I know who "Ti Jean Marassa" is...
If you listen to System Band, you will always hear Isnard Douby shout "Ti Jean Marassa". I didn't know who or what Jean Marassa was until today.
Someone even told me one day that "Douby sèvi lwa, Tijan Marassa se Lwa Douby"... No Kidding!
In a 2001 interview with Boyo Magazine, Isnard Douby was asked "Who is Jean Marassa?"
To my surprise Jean is a religious fan of system band, a "Fanatique Incoditionnel" Douby calls him.
Jean only parties with System Band, and Jean likes to be called Jean Marassa. "When the band travels, " Douby says, "He travels with us!".

Have you seen Won-G's Videos?
I don't know how he pulled it off but he has a hot Video called "Caught Up In The Rapture" with Paris Hilton, one of the Hilton sisters and that video Premier exlusively on AOL.
This video can be seen on BET, MTV & VH1 but you can watch on his site: www.Won-G.com
I haven't been in touch with Won-G but I spoke to his dad Big Pops, a few weeks after they went to Soul Train. I have to say this... Haitian Actor Ronald Azor put me in touch with them. Posted at 1:10 AM

Haitian music is so diverse, It's not just konpa anymore!
as I began my the research on Haitian music, I was only expecting information about konpa music. then I've come to realize that there is a little bit of everything in Haitian Music.
Haitian music is like a melting pot of other genres of music. Rock, Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop, you name it.
I wonder what kind of Haitian music exist in other parts of the world that we don't know about. for example, if haitians lived in the middle east, what would they come up with?

The New Haitian Music Blog!
Depi Tambou Frape, Tout Ayisyen Leve Danse!
It's true that every Haitian will jump to the sound of a drum beat. Christian or not it's in our blood. I decided to split www.belfet.com into two separate sites, www.belfet.com and www.belmizik.com, so decided to add this new Haitian music in order to keep you informed to what's going on in the Haitian music industry.
And I may be asking why would we spread benefit that come into two separate web sites?
Well I like everything to be up frontand the Haitian event listings www.belfet.com has taken over the web site so I decided to move the CD database and the Haitian music lyrics on this fresh new web site.
It's a good way to keep things open as you know.
The good part about this blog is you that reader you get to comment about everything I say. So from time to time to buy and see what everyone is talking about.
