My heart goes to all the victims and survivors of Hurricane Katrina. The organization that I work for, "NAPS, the National Association of the Prevention of Starvation www.napsoc.org" works around the world to relieve human suffering like this...and others. We just left Huntsville for a second time to go bring relief and a little comfort to the brothers and sisters in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
However, I am often annoyed by the arrogance or ignorance of some "First World individuals against "Third World countries. If there is a lesson to be learned, we human beings should realized how vulnerable we are. Self destructive adjectives as 1st world ...3rd world should be eliminated. Instead of working together to help human lives stucked in Louisiana, people and media are comparing LA with Third World...with Haiti... People should be careful. ... I would not trade or sell my Haitian roots to/for anyone or anything. I am vexed because of how arrogant or ignorant people show themselves to be. I can only pray for them. For humanity's sake, STOP comparing this calamity with other countries and be or become human beings. We all in this together. Pst. Nerelus <- Last Page | Next Page -> |
